ALTIORA
A multi-modal transit hub integrating eVTOL, metro, and urban movement systems
Project info
Semester
9
Category
Multimodal Transit Hub
Location
GIFT City, Gujarat
Timeline
4 Months
Altiora reimagines urban mobility as an integrated experience, bringing together eVTOL, metro, and ground-level transit within a unified hub. The project explores seamless movement, spatial clarity, and the layering of circulation systems to create an efficient yet legible public infrastructure.

The process
Regulatory Framework Study
Began with an in-depth study of DGCA vertiport guidelines and GIFT City regulations to establish design parameters, safety requirements, and operational standards.Case Study Analysis
Since functional vertiports are limited, analyzed metro stations and airports to understand passenger flow, circulation patterns, and operational challenges.Flow & Problem Identification
Mapped user journeys (arrival, departure, transfer) to identify bottlenecks, conflicts, and inefficiencies in multimodal transport systems.Schematic Exploration
Developed level-wise diagrams and physical/digital models to test spatial organization, zoning, and vertical circulation strategies.Multimodal Integration
Integrated road, metro, and vertiport systems into a unified framework to ensure seamless connectivity and efficient passenger transitions.Form Development Concept
Evolved the form through a fusion of orthogonal (existing metro infrastructure) and parametric (futuristic vertiport) geometries, representing present and future mobility.Design Resolution
Finalized the design by optimizing passenger movement, ensuring clear access points, and aligning all vertiport components with DGCA guidelines and contextual urban conditions.
